February and July

Greetings All:

I've got my first booking for the upcoming tour which is July 19th in my old stomping grounds of Lethbridge, Alberta. I'm playing a solo set at The Slice opening up for one of the main acts from the South Country Fair festival who will linger after the festival.

In other news, make sure you cook salmon. Also make sure that you don't buy salmon that is 30 percent off. Make sure that if you should by mistake purchase this salmon and fail to cook it thoroughly that you have an affinity for giardia and several empty buckets near your bed and/or work station.

Cheers all,

Ben

Moonstroke Show and new recordings

Greetings web world

Mahony here. I am putting together a trio to play next Friday January 22nd with Derek Wyatt on bass
and Patrick Singh on drums. It happens at Mount Mac here in the horse and the bill inclues Ryan McNally and Nemesis. I'm working on bookings for the CD release tour which I hope to begin in Dawson City May long weekend and travel west to Winnipeg by August First I am very pleased with the work Chris Isaak is doing recording new material at Blue Star Sudio. We are working with a grant supplied by Yukon Film and Sound Commission. You can hear some mixes on myspace.com/benmahony and on other portions of this site.

New Year and Related Matters

Hello world

Ben Mahony here on the verge of quarante.

I am working at Vanier Catholic Secondary School and recording a new rock and roll record that features many acoustic songs as well. It's less of a meat and potatoes rock record although there is one epic attempting anthem on it. There's also a track that started out folk and now sounds like a New Order b-side. Then there are two depressing acoustic ballads one of which is sung in a light-hearted tone of voice.
